In 1932, Marcel De Mets started a fruits and vegetables business. This type of business is unthinkable without transport. All too soon there was more and more work in the transport sector, and after a while, it became the core activity.

At the end of the 1940s, the horse and cart were replaced forever by lorries. The company specialised in moving, but was also already able to provide international transport services.

In the beginning of the 1960s, the company had an extensive fleet of some 50 vehicles including lorries, tipping lorries, flatbed trailers, etc.

In the beginning of the 1970s, the company started to hire out waste containers and to treat waste. These activities were transferred to an internationally well-established waste treatment company. “Transport Service DEMETS” was founded after this transfer transaction.

We grew rapidly thanks to the know-how and service passed down from generation to generation.

The vehicle fleet today comprises some 40 motor vehicles and 75 trailers in different versions and tonnage.

In the meantime, the 3rd generation is placing its competence at the disposal of our customers...
